Step 1:  Beginning in Quotation Apprentice

When the Quotation Apprentice first opens, a context screen asks for customer information and system settings such as labor rates and tax rates.  Quotation Apprentice for Visio (QA4V) also asks for scale information.  For the Landscaping Knowledge Pack, this option should be set to "feet".

The basic QA4V workspace has one or more scaled drawing pages and an un-scaled notes page.  Shapes appear on Visio stencils, ready to be dragged and dropped onto the drawing pages.  In the Landscaping Knowledge Pack, there are stencils for plants, beds/lawns/patios (areas), and paths/walls (1D areas).  There are also annotation shapes to assist in drawing but since they have no corresponding data in the database, they will not appear on the reports.  If you are building your own quotation tool, the shapes that appear will be the shapes on the stencils you provide.
