Home Theater Designer Tour

                            Step 1Step 2Step 3Step 4Step 5

Step 1:  Beginning in Home Theater Designer

When a design is created in the Home Theater Designer, customer information is entered and the views that should be generated are selected.  System settings, such as labor rates, labor costs, and tax rates can be modified from their default settings.

The design can be started on any of the four available views, but the logical view provides a high level schematic of the design and is a good place to start.  If the 'automatically create views' option was selected in the context, any item dragged and dropped on one view will appear in the same location on other views, if appropriate (only rackable items appear on the rack view page).

As a shape is dragged and dropped from the stencil, all items in the database of that type are available for selection.  When an item is selected, it is added to the design.  Also displayed are related items, based on the types of items that have been designated in the database as 'related' to the dropped shape.
