Apprentice Product Modeler Tour
Example of a Visio UI, "Augmentation" Approach
This is an example of a rule template. The templates help the designer
create rules, from simple rules to the most complex imaginable. The
modeler has access to over 20 triggers that control when a rule fires, can have
an unlimited number of conditions, and can select over 50 types of actions.
The rule in the example controls the behavior of a control on the previous
dialog box based on the type of machine process that is being created and the
type of die to be used. The control will be invisible if the machine
process is anything other than 'external stripping' and the die type is not
'linear'.
The actual syntax of the entries in the template is often generated for the
modeler automatically based on choices they make in the dropdown lists.
At any time the modeler can create or update the deployed application by
selecting 'deploy' in the menu. It takes only seconds to create the
application from the model built in the Apprentice Product Modeler.
